| I typically handle DUI cases on a fixed fee basis. The advantage of a fixed fee is that you know ahead of time how much I'm going to charge you to take your case to trial, apply for diversion or enter a plea. I do not charge you the same fee for applying for diversion as I do for taking your case to trial. I charge you a higher fee to take your case to trial. Be wary of attorneys who offer to represent you for the same fee regardless of whether you have a trial or enter a diversion agreement/plead guilty. Attorneys are paid for their time and a properly conducted trial takes lots of attorney preparation time. If the attorney "earns" the same fee whether or not you have a trial it seems logically unlikely that attorney is going to be very eager to take your case to trial regardless of the facts of the case. We accept payment in cash, by check or by credit card. |
